The Rust-Oleum Championship is an event on the Web.com Tour - THE pathway to the PGA TOUR - and is committed to giving back to the community. The Rust-Oelum Championship is partnering with local charities to make a meaningful impact throughout Northern Illinois. The 2018 Rust-Oleum Championship is taking place June 4th - 10th at the Ivanhoe Club!
What is a Birdie?
In golf, a "birdie" is a score of one stroke better than "par" for every hole on the course. "Par" is the normal expected stroke score of a golf professional on any given hole. For example, if a player scores a 4 on a Par 5 hole, the player gets a birdie.
How It Works
Participants can either make a one-time flat donation (minimum $50), or make a pledge of $0.05 or more for each birdie made by the Web.com Tour players during the 2018 Rust-Oleum Championship. For example, if a person were to pledge $0.05 per birdie during the Rust-Oleum Championship and there were 1,000 birdies made, that person would donate $50.00. The Rust-Oleum Championship is estimating that there could be on average 1,200 birdies from Thursday through Sunday during the tournament rounds. In 2017, 1,591 birdies were scored throughout the tournament. There were 1,620 birdies in 2016.
