This is an exciting opportunity with an established organisation specialising in supplying products and services to major retailers. Due to continued growth they’re now looking for an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to join their team based near Glasgow. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, responsibilities will include: 

• Supporting the Warehouse / distribution function to ensure overall finished goods warehouse facilities operated are in a safe efficient manner at optimal costs
• Support with planning activities across all areas at the Glasgow and North of Scotland site
• Support customer engagement and ensure high levels of customer service
• Identify and implement appropriate performance measures to drive improvement in customer and planning

Candidates: 

• Will ideally have experience of working in a FMCG manufacturing environment
• Proven experience of planning / distribution / warehouse operations
• Experience of working in a customer facing environment and can effectively manage customer issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

This is initially a 6-9 month fixed term contract with the potential of becoming permanent and will require travel / cover to other sites in the North of the Scotland.
