Yeah, I said it. I make the stock market do stuff. Not just because I write articles like this, although I do have a following of people who do take note of the things I say. For example, there was a trading day last season where I wrote up a bearish piece on Jakks Pacific (JAKK),and inside of an hour after publishing it, half a million shares of Mattel (MAT) changed hands over to buyers. It could be a coincidence. And it could completely be a coincidence that my bearish article on Amazon (AMZN) in November hit not long before the company lost over $40 Billion in market cap. Sure, I'll call that coincidence. I didn't cause that drop, all I did was notice it. However, what I can tell you is that the specific discipline I follow of buying low and selling high, and cost averaging is a genuine strategy that the wealthy elite follow to the letter. They don't screw around with charts and opinions. They buy for dividends and earnings. I know this, because I used to work an apprentice gig at an accountant's office right here in Scottsdale, Arizona. I've seen, literally seen, the holdings of the stuff that the wealthiest people in the country own, I know what their buying habits are. I know the indexes that they like and I can tell you above all else, they are into getting PAID through dividends. I used to open up these envelopes packed full of checks from groups of real estate investors pooling their money and collecting rents. I just happened to be reading Ben Graham for the first time when I was working that job, and it all made incredible sense to me. So I'm telling you, I'm buying Bank of America (BAC), I'm buying American Express (AXP), I'm buying Navios Maritime (NMM), I'm buying Caterpiller (CAT), I'm buying Mattel (MAT). Because that's what those people are buying right now, too. And you won't be able to come in here later on and take those shares from us cheaper. That's just not how it works. So fear your recession. Throw your prophecies at me that the price is going lower. It doesn't upset me. I love that. When the dust settles, I will be holding, and I won't let you take my fortune cheaply.
