Wow...what a deal this place is! It is just 1 block from Plaza Chica where the collectivos drop in town. The family staff is super nice. The gardenesqe patio and sitting area are awesome (I am enjoying it right now with a cold Indio). And the price...terrific...$35 USD /nt for two beds. And, those beds...as good as any at a $150/nt hotel. I would recommend this place 110%.

This is my favorite place in Patzcuaro. Have been here a few times and always come back. It is a family business hostel. It was renovated a few years back, and the owner takes care that everything is clean and nice. The rooms are modest, but the quality of sleep is good. The hotel is situated at less than 3 minutes at walking distance from Patzcuaro's main square. If you get to Patzcuaro by bus from Morelia, you will have to take a Taxi to get there because the bus station is far from the center. If you arrive by micro bus from a near village, you will arrive directly to the main square and can walk to the Posada de lo Angeles. They have wifi but it does not work all the time... They do not have breakfast either, but being so close to the center there are many options to eat for every budget at walking distance. The best is that it's a cheap place, even for Mexico.…

We stayed here for over 10 days this year (2011) and the same length of time in 2009. Everything you read in the reviews are true. It is clean, convenient, extremely attractive, and a great bargain. The owners are great. Very helpful and friendly but unobtrusive.

My two friends and I were made aware of this hidden jewel by the taxi driver who brought us into town. The owner, Nico, was a wonderful host and gave us many tips and special attention. The little hotel is beautiful, clean, very accessible and extremely reasonable. I'm looking forward to going back to Patzcuaro and plan to stay at Posada De Los Angeles again.

This delightful small inn should really be listed under hotels rather than B&Bs as breakfast is not provided. However, at a rate of $30/day single (one double bed) or $42/day double (two double beds), it is a real bargin. For families, there is a large suite with four double beds. The posada is located on a tiny quiet street just off Plaza Bocanegra (Plaza Chica) behind the library in the historic center of Patzcuaro. It is within easy walking distance of all major attractions and free parking is provided for guests in a lot two blocks away. The posada is immaculately clean and fresh towels are provided daily. There are two lovely tile plant-filled patios to relax in. We stayed here for 5 days in February 2008 and definitely plan to return. The friendly owners do not speak English so one needs to know at least a bit of Spanish. If you want a convenient location and a true Mexican experience rather than luxury this is the place for you.…

A lovely, friendly little family run hotel a block off the Plaza Chica down the street beside the Biblioteca. Run by a charming professor and his family. 10 rooms, a flowery patio, well maintained. We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms at $30 which suited us just fine. There are also some larger rooms costing a little more. Cable TV, hot water. Needed some housekeeping in some of the corners and windowsills but the rest of the room was clean enough. As in all of Patzcuaro, you must have reservations during Day of the Dead (late Oct/early Nov) but we just walked in earlier in October.
