 Software Engineer
Location: Stirling, Scotland
This is an exciting opportunity with an established and growing organisation specialising in supplying niche products to clients world wide. Due to planned investment and growth at their site in Stirlingshire, they're now looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing and qualifying embedded software within medical device systems and products in accordance with the Company's design control procedures and quality standards.
- Support and maintenance of existing test software, including change management and product updates to meet the latest regulations.
- Lead software authority with ownership of internal software development policies and tools within the company.
- Carrying out verification and validation activities to agreed schedules, quality and cost.
- Working with and managing suppliers, subcontractors and other engineering disciplines.
- Generating design documentation in compliance with the Company's design control procedures.
- Generating manufacturing documentation in compliance with quality standards.
- Maximising product Design for Assembly and Design for Test
Candidates:
- Must have at least 2 years previous experience of working in an embedded software design role, ideally within a highly regulated industry sector such as medical, aerospace or defence.
- Degree qualified in an Electronics/Software engineering related subject.
- Proven track record in an engineering product environment, with an understanding of Engineering Principles and Design Practices.
