Ms. Watkins will cover basic information and issues about individuals with I/DD voting in the November 2020 election. She will talk about several issues including, access to voting, voting advocacy, and mail-in voting vs. in person voting.

Learning objectives: 

  1. Define the voting rights of someone with I/DD and advocacy.
  1. Know the difference between mail-in voting and in person voting.
  1. Explain voting rights and procedures to guardians.

Holly Watkins works at The Arc of North Carolina as the Business Development and Public Relations Manager. She spends most of her time advocating for people with I/DD, overseeing media communications, and helping to organize events. When she is not at work, she enjoys being outside and volunteering with community organizations such as Activate Good and Carolina Tiger Rescue.
