Degrees from these unaccredited colleges are approved by ODA for use in Oregon.
ODA approval does not mean that the degrees will be accepted by licensing
agencies or employers. Degrees from closed or merged schools that were
accredited by a U.S. Dept. of Education-recognized accredit or at the time the
degree was earned are legal for use as credentials in Oregon.

in Oregon because the institutions are not accredited by an accrediting agency
recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or approved by ODA. See ORS

Some of the institutions listed below are diploma mills that simply provide a
paper degree in exchange for money. Some provide actual course work in a
classroom or online setting that may be suitable for some students’ needs.
Some are difficult to classify. ODA does not evaluate the quality of an
institution unless the institution applies for Oregon authorization.

Degrees from some of these institutions may be legal for use in some states. If
you do not live or work in Oregon, check with higher education licensing
authorities in your state regarding the legality of degrees from any of these

the State of Montana should be considered invalid for use in Oregon unless the
college can prove that it is accredited by a federally-recognized accrediting
