Lowrider Show and Shine
The Lowrider Show and Shine is a moment to celebrate with community the artistry and presence of lowriders in Denver, and the opening of Desert Rider: Dreaming in Motion. The exhibition, on view July 9 to September 24, 2023, highlights how Southwestern Latinx and Indigenous artists express identity, pride, and a sense of community by transforming vehicles—such as lowriders and skateboards—associated with the Western U.S.
This family-friendly event will feature lowriders, local vendors, delicious food, music, and free general admission to the museum all day.
Desert Rider: Dreaming in Motion is organized by Phoenix Art Museum. It is presented with generous support from the Adolph Coors Exhibition Endowment Fund, The Christensen Fund, U.S. Bank, the donors to the Annual Fund Leadership Campaign, and the residents who support the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).
