Abstract

This year’s Division J Fireside Chat is designed to offer contemporary insight into the
interpersonal and intrapersonal aspects of the academic job market, from the perspective of scholars who successfully obtained tenure-track faculty positions. Our panelists have a wealth of experience on how to successfully navigate the academic job market. They will provide first-hand knowledge of the tensions between the culture of competition and maintaining the relationships within and outside of the academy.
