First Announcement and Call for Papers
The purpose of this workshop is to discuss global progress on understanding the taxonomy, ecology and evolution of the oomycetes Phytophthora, Pythium and related genera.
This workshop is associated with the 9th International Congress
of Plant Pathology to be held in Turin, Italy during August 24-29, 2008.
NOTES:
Registrations are due January 15, 2008
- The 3rd International Phytophthora/Pythium Workshop includes the participation of invited speakers, offered oral and posters presentations, as well as scientists interested in the topics programmed for the event.
- Special Session: Hands-off training on morphological and molecular identification of Phytophthora, Pythium and related genera.
- We are going to follow the ICPP meeting format for abstracts and posters. Presentations made at the ICPP meeting may be repeated at the workshop. Invited speakers are welcome to submit abstracts for sessions outside the scope of their invited presentations.
