State of Graduate Students Within AERA

Abstract

This State of the State Address for the Graduate Student Council (GSC) reflects on the Association's steadfast commitment to capacity building and nurturing the next generation of education researchers. With over 7,000 student members, including approximately 6,500 graduate students and 500 undergraduates, students represent over 28% of the AERA community. This address will highlight the rich array of programs and services offered by AERA to Graduate Students. Additionally, graduate students are welcome to provide suggestions and feedback around how the GSC could better support graduate students within AREA including their conference experience as well as their research development. Finally, we will use this time to acknowledge and reward GSC members for their work throughout the academic year.
