Take a journey along the 11 mile stretch of Llangollen Canal which has been made a
World Heritage Site
The canal starts - or ends - adjacent to the Horseshoe Falls and on to Trevor Wharf and the world famous
Pontcysyllte Aqueduct
- which was central to the bid for world status - before passing through Chirk and Whitehurst tunnels, and over Chirk Aqueduct which, itself, is overlooked by trains travelling across Chirk Viaduct.
At Trevor Wharf, BBC Radio Wales producer Alan Daulby joined skipper Matthew aboard the canal boat Emma to soak up the sights and sounds of a typical day on the canal, en route to their final destination, Gledrid Bridge, which marks the end of the World Heritage Site.
