December 29: James Owen Sullivan dead, the Rev dead, The Rev died: the rumors are true, the drummer died. James Owen Sullivan’s death has been confirmed by his band Avenged Sevenfold. There were speculations for the last several hours about him being found dead in his home.


Officials have also confirmed his death and have given the reason of his death, ‘natural’.

I am amazed as to how many young men and women particularly from Hollywood are dying so young.

Just the other day a leading Hollywood personality Brittany Murphy died. Her death has also been described by natural causes.

James Owen was all of twenty eight years when he passed away while Brittany Murphy was just about 32 years.

James Owen Sullivan was better known by his stage name, The Rev, or The Reverend Tholomew Plague. He was the drummer and back-up vocalist for the band Avenged Sevenfold, and lead vocalist in the avant-garde metal band Pinkly Smooth with fellow Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Synyster Gates.

Sullivan resided in Huntington Beach, California and was married to Leana MacFadden aka Leana Silver.
