June a very healthy month for Calgary resale housing market

Calgary's resale housing market has seen healthy increases in MLS sales and prices during the first four weeks of June.

According to the Calgary Real Estate Board website, so far this month, sales of 1,968 are up 6.44 per cent compared with a year ago.

Year-over-year, the median price has climbed by 5.01 per cent to $450,000 while the average sale price has risen by 2.84 per cent to $496,985.

New listings of 3,507 are 23.1 per cent higher than a year ago and active listings are up by 10.06 per cent to 6,880.
