| I’ll agree that this has a student pub feel to it, not that it is a problem in anyway. I spotted a few premium lagers and an abundance of bog standard ones. No real ales though! The barman was friendly and the price was reasonable. As mentioned before, there are plenty of screens for watching sport and there is also a dart board and a pool table. There is some nice seating outside the front of the pub which is great for watching Ealing locals roll by. This is an OK pub for sport, but I’d probably drink elsewhere at other times. | A great place to watch sport as it has screens on every available wall and plays different games and sports in the same area but on different screens depending on which way your facing. As such I've been able to sit in a group whilst I watch the rugby, another guy watches football and a third watched the cricket all at the same table. Very convinient. The beer is pretty standard chain pub fare with no guest ales or anything particularly special. The food is cheap if your ordering two meals (it's permanently 2 for 1) but I've eaten there three times now trying differant things off the menu and have yet to have something good but I guess you get what you pay for. theoneandonlyjoe - 30 Apr 2008 13:07 |
| Went here a couple of times over the last 6 months. One time it was busy, studenty and not altogether friendly. One time it was quiet, staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. Might well go back, esp if the lovely pool-playing buxom brunette is there ;-) E1_Norton - 5 Feb 2008 13:25 |
| Very much a student pub, so I probably wouldn't personally go here on an evening but for a sporting event it is great, loads of TV's and the biggest screen you are likely to ever see outside of a cinema. The beers cheap and ok the food is cheap and near to inedible. mikel - 25 Jun 2007 14:50 |
| This is definitely a student pub. The back room is well used for live acoustic gigs, bands and even a comedy night on a Monday evening - They have had a few star turns as well! There are plenty of screens for sport or "dodgy young persons music videos". Cheap average pub chain food and drink, loads of non students and a hang out for post work locals means no one feels or looks out of place. EskimoJoe - 4 Jun 2007 14:31 |
