Now Accepting Applications for the Nurses Respond Now Priority Training Tuition Scholarships

Dear Nurse Colleague,

You may apply for a tuition scholarship for the Nurses Respond Now Priority Training by completing this application form. Twenty-five Nurses will be selected from each of Wisconsin’s seven Healthcare Emergency Readiness Coalition (HERC) Regions.

Scholarships for the Nurses Respond Now Priority Training have been made possible through a grant awarded to the Wisconsin Center for Nursing through the 2023 AARP Center for Health Equity through Nursing ^TM and the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action, an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF).

Nurses who complete this training will be considered part of a strengthened nursing workforce prepared to better assist at risk and vulnerable people, support public health initiatives and ensure health equity during a public health emergency.

ELIGIBILITY & NOTIFICATION

• You must be a licensed RN or LPN/LVN in Wisconsin to be eligible.
• The email address you provide on your application form will be the one used to notify you if you have been selected to receive a scholarship.
• Following confirmation that you have been selected, you will receive course access instructions from the National RN Practice Development Center to begin this 6 hour priority training. You will have 30 days to complete.
• It is expected that scholarship recipients will complete this training. Course extensions are available upon request.
• HERC Regional Coordinators will be provided with the names and contact information of the nurses who have completed this training. The HERC Coordinators will use this information to provide you with additional information about public health emergency services and initiatives in your region.
