Stock clamps in the jig and feeds forward, guided by the jig in a straight line, into the bit until it bottoms out against the router plate. Next the jig moves left & right against stops to cut the mortise length desired. Mounts in the tables miter slot and includes two stops to set the mortise length. Fence can be set at any angle from parallel to the router plate (edge mortising) to 90º to the router plate (end mortising). Measures 11-5/8" x 15-3/4" and includes two 500 lb. toggle clamps that hold stock up to 1-3/4" thick. (2-3/4" thick with optional 1" Riser Kit, two required - one for each clamp.) The 575 Mortising Table is shown on the 578 Horizontal table. The 578 Horizontal table is sold separately.
