We welcome anyone whose partner has already been diagnosed with AD/HD (Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)--OR you wonder if it's a possibility and want to learn more.
This is a supportive, informative, and congenial community. We understand that as much as we might love our ADHD partners, the challenges can sometimes be overwhelming. We focus on solutions.

PLEASE NOTE: Yahoo will ask you to describe, in 200 words, why you want to join this group. We cannot turn off this function. Your application will trigger an auto-send mail, asking you for a little longer introduction and explaining why it is needed. Please check your spam filter if you do not receive this.
Note that your e-mail address will show in each post to the group. If you'd like to maintain privacy, you can re-apply under a different address -- or change your address once you are a member.
This is YOUR group, but moderators are standing by:
--Moderator is Gina Pera, a former newspaper and magazine editor who has been a member of this group since 2000 and moderator since 2001. She is also the coordinator for CHADD Silicon Valley and CHADD National Volunteer of the Year, 2006.
--Associate moderators are long-time group members Carl, Sharon, Mart, Judith, Jane, Les, John, Robin, Susan, and Ruth. They've "walked the talk" for many years, have heard hundreds (if not thousands) of new members' stories, and have uncommon good sense and compassion.
This group is an unfacilitated "support" group, and should not be seen as psychotherapy or a substitute for professional care. This group is sponsored by the Northern California chapter of CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). Neither CHADD nor the moderators specifically endorse what anyone says in the group.
