This is geocache has been set up by the Hades Explorer Scout unit based in the small village of Holme just south of junction 36 of the M6.
The cache its self is located on the limestone pavement of Clawthorpe Fell. It like a lunar landscape which looks quite baron apart from a few trees. But with closer inspection specialist fauna can be found in abundance. There are lots of water worn holes in the Limestone, which are big enough to loose a child (Ideal, I hear some of you say!), also the limestone can be very slippy when wet, so be careful!
It is a regular sized cache, which contains a few swaps.
The approach to the cache is described if approaching from junction 36 of the M6:
Take the exit from round about towards Kirby Lonsdale / Skipton. At the next roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A6070 (signposted Burton). Head down the road for just under two miles, go past the turning to Holme (this road goes under the motorway) after about another mile is another turning to Holme, which goes over the motorway. Turn right and head over the bridge and a lay-by for parking car is found on the left.
On foot, head back in the direction you’ve come, along the main road till you see a footpath on the right into a field then woods. (Please be careful along the road, the cars travel along pretty fast!).
