MANSON'S LAST WISH

Charles Manson left everything to long-lost ‘son’ Matthew Roberts in his will – and will receive a proper burial, pal claims

Close friend Ben Gurecki claims Manson gave him the will with instructions to send it to Matthew Roberts, a musician who believes he is the convicted killer's son, after his death

CULT leader Charles Manson has left everything to his long lost “son” Matthew Roberts, according to a close pal.

Ben Gurecki said the killer – who was serving a life sentence for the murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and six others – entrusted him with his will in March.

He claimed he told him to send the document to Matthew, who was named as the main beneficiary of his estate.

The will also leaves the musician in charge of the body – meaning he can have a proper burial, Ben told Sun Online.

The pair now plan to meet up next week in Kern County, California – where Manson died on Sunday.

Ben says they will take care of Manson’s unfinished business and make arrangements for a burial.

It is not yet known if the will is legally binding.

Ben said: "It names Matthew as his son and that's where he elects for his stuff to go to and who is to be in charge."

Matthew, who was adopted and grew up in Rockford, Illinois, was told that Manson was his real dad, after he tracked down his biological mum in 2001.

She told Matthew that she was raped by Manson during a drug-fuelled orgy nine months before he was born in 1968 - but she later claimed it was not rape but "vigorous sex".

Although attempted DNA tests have proved inconclusive, Ben says Manson knew Matthew was his son - and even sent people to find him.

It has not yet been decided where Manson will be buried – and it’s unlikely there will be any kind of official ceremony.

Ben said: “He should be given a plot of land and he should be given a proper headstone that people can go and steal or break or chip pieces off and spray paint – do whatever the hell they want to do – and I’m going to be responsible for getting it done.

“I want to give him a proper headstone that memorialises him as a human being – good or bad – I don’t care.”

Ben, who revealed Manson's last known words to Sun Online earlier this week, added: “I'd have a headstone for him at his family's grave in Catlettsburg Cemetery, Kentucky.

“He was born in Ohio then moved to Kentucky where he was traded for a pitcher of beer by his mother – so his whole roots are around there.

“Put his name on a stone and put him next to his family and let the chips fall where they may from there.

“To be honest if it were up to Charlie I don’t think he’d even want his name on a tombstone – he’d just want to be forgotten – but it’s not the proper thing to do.”

Ben says he doesn’t know how much Manson’s estate may be worth – but many think it could be millions including music rights, memorabilia sales and artwork.

Manson orchestrated the murders of seven people in the 1960s by his devoted followers in a bid to start a race war.

On August 8, 1969, he sent Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian, Patricia Krenwinkel and Charles ‘Tex’ Watson – to the Beverly Hills address of movie actress Sharon Tate with the instruction to kill everyone inside.

Less than 24 hours later, the followers – plus Leslie Van Houten and Steve “Clem” Grogan – savagely tortured, murdered and mutilated wealthy LA couple Rosemary and Leno LaBianca.
