Youth & Family Programs
Onalaska, WI In Person

Mental health issues in adolescents are on the rise, especially with the increased use of technology and social media. Within the last decade, the number of students who reported feeling sad and hopeless every day has increased by over 10%. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning of an accelerating mental health crisis among adolescents, with more than 4 in 10 teens reporting that they feel “persistently sad or hopeless” and 1 in 5 saying they have contemplated suicide

Together, parents and youth are invited to learn more about managing depression, anger and anxiety. Join Janice Schreier, a Mayo Clinic Health System clinical therapist, as she presents a combination of life skills that, when practiced together, have a therapeutic impact on youth mental health.

This community event is hosted by Mayo Clinic Health System and Misty's Dance Unlimited.
