Highlights:18 Species of Wood Warblers including Nashville, Black-throated 
Green, Cape May, Blackpoll, and Blackburnian Warblers. Also: White-eyed and 
Red-eyed Vireos, Scarlet Tanagers, Indigo Buntings, and Rose-breasted 
Grosbeaks. 

Canada Goose - Turtle Pond
Mallard - 10
Mourning Dove - 30
Yellow-billed Cuckoo - 3 Azalea Pond/Source of the Gill (one pointed out by 
Jeff Ritter)
Herring Gull - a few flyovers
Double-crested Cormorant - flyovers
Yellow-crowned Night-Heron - flying from the Point
Red-tailed hawk - flyover
Red-bellied Woodpecker - residents in several locations
Downy Woodpecker - Turtle Pond & Stone Arch
Northern Flicker - pair continues near Summer House, another at Strawberry 
Fields
Great Crested Flycatcher - 2 (Castle Walk near construction & south of Azalea 
Pond (thanks Richard Lieberman))
Eastern Kingbird - pair Turtle Pond (Marianne Sutton)
White-eyed Vireo - Strawberry Fields
Blue-headed Vireo - 5
Warbling Vireo - 6 (3 males singing and chasing each other at Hernshead, 1 at 
the Point, 1 Upper Lobe, 1 Turtle Pond)
Red-eyed Vireo - King of Poland
Blue Jay - pair collecting mud for nest at Triplet's Bridge
Tree Swallow - adult Turtle Pond
Barn Swallow - 2 collecting mud for nest at Turtle Pond
Tufted Titmouse - heard in Ramble
House Wren - Summer House
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 2 (the Point & Turtle Pond)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 10
Veery - Swampy Pin Oak
Gray-cheeked Thrush - 2 (south side Turtle Pond, another east of Stone Arch 
after lunch)
Hermit Thrush - 3
Wood Thrush - 2 (Swampy Pin Oak & Maintenance Field)
American Robin - some residents nesting
Gray Catbird - 3
Cedar Waxwing - a dozen at Tanner's Spring
American Goldfinch - 5 (feeders & Upper Lobe)
Eastern Towhee - 3 or 4
Swamp Sparrow - 4
White-throated Sparrow - 20
Orchard Oriole - male & female south side of Turtle Pond
Baltimore Oriole - 6 or 7 including singing adult males, an immature male, and 
a female
Red-winged Blackbird - singing males at several locations
Brown-headed Cowbird - 4 (2 males, 1 female top of the Oven, male Gill Source 
(Alison Schondorf))
Common Grackle - residents
Ovenbird - 5
Northern Waterthrush - 3 or 4
Black-and-white Warbler - 10

Common Yellowthroat - 5 including a female at the Point
Hooded Warbler - male at the Oven seen looking down from the top of the Point
American Redstart - 3 (adult male, female, and immature male at the Point)

Northern Parula - at least 7
Magnolia Warbler - south side Turtle Pond (Tom Ahlf)
Blackburnian Warbler - 3 Maintenance Field
Yellow Warbler - 2 (female south side Turtle Pond, male singing at the Point)
Chestnut-sided Warbler - south side Turtle Pond
Blackpoll Warbler - 2 (the Point and west side of Maintenance Field)
Black-throated Blue Warbler - 5 all males
Yellow-rumped Warbler - around 40
Prairie Warbler - 3
Black-throated Green Warbler 4 (2 Willow Rock, Upper Lobe, Maintenance Field)
Scarlet Tanager - at least 3 (Source of the Gill, Gill Overlook, east side of 
Tupelo Field)
Northern Cardinal - residents
Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 6 (5 at feeders, 1 east side of Tupelo Field (Peter 
Haskel))
Indigo Bunting - immature male King of Poland

Brad Kane reported Yellow-throated Warblers at King of Poland and Maintenance 
Field, one of these probably the same bird seen by Matt Klein. 

Congratulations to Ron Lugo @BirdsRon for finding a Kentucky Warbler at the 
north end and getting the word out quickly via twitter @BirdsCentralPark.
