Management Accountant
Exciting new Permanent opportunity for a Management Accountant based in Basildon.
Following a recent staff move, our global engineering and manufacturing client is currently looking for a new candidate to add to their team in Basildon with an experienced Management Accountant Specialising in providing support to deliver the overall Land and Naval aims and objectives. Ensuring robust management information is available for decision making, strictly adhering to reporting deadlines.
As a Management Accountant you will be able to:
Key Responsibility Areas
• Responsible for the production of high quality Land and Naval Divisional management accounts for both Engineering and Manufacturing & Supply Chain Functions.
• Ensure a good understanding of the cost base for both functions including actual, forecast, Budget and risks & opportunities.
• Ensure of a good understanding of labour utilisation drivers.
• Liaise with local cost centre managers for overhead cost control. Periodically upload forecast to SAP as and when required.
• Ensure SAP is updated monthly for key cost areas such as contractors and site running costs, including month end accruals and prepayments.
• Review capital applications.
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required
• Part qualified or finalist– ACCA/CIMA.
• Numerate, good MS Office skills, particularly Excel (Functions).
• SAP experiences an advantage.(but training given)
Additional Info:
Occasional travel including driving may be required to other sites.
Full time hours expected, on a flexible basis.
