Great first novel!

Fantastic story from a first time author, I couldn't put it down! You know you're into a story when you stay up all night to read it through in one sitting!
Although the story is primarily thriller/paranormal, there is also enough character development that you can understand each character's motivations and you can identify with them, which is what makes this story so engrossing. You really care for the characters and you want them to succeed and find out how these "talents" are going to affect their lives. I especially liked Zoe, and I really hope the relationship between her and Charlie develops in the next two books.
So happy this a trilogy, can't wait for the next book!

Heroic Characters

The way each main character was introduced with two chapters separately made the reader more intrigued with what they had in common. Unfortunately the bad guys seem conveniently to be weak at the most crucial times. Escapes were too easy which leaves one with the question of whether they were escaping or just falling for a ruse. I am not a fan of time travel stories, but this one wasn't too confusing.

Written to a young audience

If you're not 20 or younger, or juvenile as an adult, you'll tire of this book pretty fast. 3 stars for what may have been an ok story, it just never drew me in.

Intense and entertaining series starter

A slow start as the storyline pieces are put in place. Then some mind stretch as the lines are blurred between current, past, & future, and between friends & loved ones. Perceived enemies are maybe not, and the real enemies are powerful with unknown motivations. Action packed with lots of unknowns, this story wraps up with a break out and a break up cliffhanger.
