At its first ever business partner summit in Mumbai, FMCG major Procter & Gamble has committed to a multi-million dollar fund for innovative solutions in India. The summit was aimed at providing a platform to business partners to pitch their solutions to P&G’s leadership team.
Intent on collaborating with its partners on disruptive and innovative business solutions that would help the company, P&G also launched 'vGrow', it’s first programme in India that will identify and collaborate with start-ups, small businesses, individuals or large organisations that offer innovative industry-leading solutions.
The vGrow programme will focus on innovative business ideas across various areas like agile supply chain solutions, raw material innovations, superior brand and marketing solutions for consumers, innovation on packaging, and productivity ideas, among others.
Madhusudan Gopalan, MD and CEO, P&G India Sub-Continent, said, “Collaboration accelerates innovation and the biggest wins come when all the stakeholders in the ecosystem work together.”
To come up with innovative solutions via external business partnerships, P&G is to launch its online platform ‘P&G Hackathon’, connecting external business partners to the company’s needs, thereby creating a collaborative ecosystem, the company added. The online platform P&G Hackathon will enable start-ups, small businesses and large organisations to pitch their innovative solutions to P&G’s leadership and secure business opportunities with company.
