Thomas J. Madden died December 21, 2006. He was born March 22, 1919 in New York City, son of James and Winifred (Hannon) Madden. On January 1, 1942 he married Frances Ruge. She died April 1, 2006. A forty-six year resident of Dobbs Ferry, Thomas was an active member of Sacred Heart Church and its Holy Name Society. He was a graduate of Manhattan College, self-employed as a CPA in New York City, and an avid golfer. He is survived by his loving family, daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and William Murray of Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina, Barbara Lipps of Montgomery Village, Maryland, Winifred and Ronald Hayden of Ninety Six, South Carolina, Margaret and Dennis Ryder of Durham, Connecticut and Ellen and Thomas Prince of York, Maine, sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a brother James. He was also predeceased by a sister Winifred. Mass of the Resurrection 9:30 am Thursday December 28, Sacred Heart Church, Dobbs Ferry. Visiting 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday, December 27 at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Sacred Heart Church or the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
