 Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Contract
Location: Loughborough, England
My client is a multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy. Due to an increase in work load they are currently looking to take on a Geotechnical contractor to work on a 3-month project, with a scope to extend this by another 3 months after completion in order to start another project. This person will have a strong background in earthworks, to a point where they can supervise a team of geotechnical engineers and deliver technical reports back to the head office.
This is a genuine opportunity to lead a team of engineers, whilst working with other departments to help business development within a multidisciplinary consulting engineering company.
Requirements:
- Charted Engineer and Geologist (ICE) (CGeol).
- Experience and knowledge of UK’s geology and the importance of ground modelling, an understanding of superficial geology and its implications to civil/geotechnical designs.
- Excellent working knowledge of contaminated land management, contaminant hydrogeology and construction dewatering.
- Be experienced in specifying, procuring and management of ground investigation for civil design projects and contaminated land assessments.
- Production of Ground Investigation Reports for civil design schemes/geo-environmental
- Understand the geotechnical aspects of civil engineering design and construction principles and standards
- Have a strong background in supervision/management roles.
