AirNet Communications has received approximately US$2 million in expansion purchase orders from TECORE Wireless Systems for their international deployments including the Afghan Wireless mobile network. These orders are for the purchase of AdaptaCell hardware and software and related services previously shipped in the first quarter, or scheduled for shipment in the second quarter.

"TECORE continues to strengthen its relationship with AirNet," said Jay Salkini, president and CEO of TECORE Wireless Systems. "These products will provide cost-effective, rapidly deployable capacity upgrades for the AWCC network and help keep up with their tremendous demand."

"AirNet has successfully demonstrated many times that we are experts in rapidly deploying GSM base station solutions in developing and emerging markets," said Glenn Ehley, president and CEO of AirNet Communications Corporation. "Our solutions have done well in many of the most difficult operating conditions in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Our continued commitment is to make our customers successful, and we are pleased to have this additional opportunity to serve TECORE and AWCC."
