A great action film which establishes its characters well in the 1st half and then shows off some perfectly staged action set-pieces in the second half. The ending packs in an emotional punch which is heartwarming. Overall, a great entry in a great franchise.

The addition of comedy to this series was a must for it to continue, and both Simon Pegg and Paula Patton helped bring that to this otherwise quintessential spy/block-buster/thriller. I enjoyed the tongue in cheek references to the masks (boy did MI:2 overdo that troupe). Overall great and enjoyable experience, over 3 sitting - this movie is long! The nod to what happened with Hunt's relationship is well handled. This is the best in the series so far.
