The Quickening!

ALBANY, Ore.- I won't tell you too much about this intriguing 24-hour event taking place down road from Portland this Saturday because maybe YOU should not go. Judging from the video I "stole" from their website daggerattack.com, the Quickening is an underground cycling frenzy shrouded in dark mystery. I do know there will be hard rock bands, freaky bikes, and perhaps even blood sacrifice. Consider yourself warned.
So... if you are too scared of all that you can stick around stumptown and buy me a pint of Fat Tire at Tour de Fat, Saturday (video coming soon).

Bridge Pedal Jams!?

PORTLAND, Ore. – Tens of thousands of Portlanders and tourists showed up for the 11th Annual Providence Bridge Pedal today. After 20,000 cyclists and pedestrians jammed the bridges last year, organizers promised ten bridges without traffic jams.
"With the assistance of both the City of Portland and the Oregon Department of Transportation, we have revised the start locations as well as portions of the route to minimize the chance of traffic jams during the ride."
Join Dan Kaufman as he takes out the CrankMyChain! "Battlestar*" to find out the truth with live action video and interviews with participants.

Bicycle Race - Music Video

Watch as Queen's Bicycle Race is set to a silent movie of Scouts on bikes.
The video was shot and edited by Tom Kiwizzarrd from Worcester England. Here is his story behind the video:
"The local scout group commissioned us to come up with something
for their annual show, using Queen's "Bicycle Race" as a backdrop.
After watching hours of footage of Scouts on bikes and not really
knowing what to do with it, I started messing around with the speed,
which triggered the idea of making a 'silent film'."
