Become a Time's Up advocate!
500 reports of sexual or gender-based harassment were reported to Harvard's Title IX Office in 2019. While sexual harassment has a dedicated University office and grievance process, other forms of discrimination are not even surveyed and reported on. The Time's Up caucus of the Harvard Graduate Students Union was formed in 2018 to fight for a community free of harassment and discrimination in and beyond our union contract. This year, we will train students to become Time's Up Advocates. Time's Up Advocates will receive a 2.5 hour training on accepting disclosure, navigating grievance processes, and being advocates to victims.  We will encourage all departments and programs to identify Time's Up Advocates in their communities so that nobody is left alone as they try to navigate reporting, investigation, recourse, or informal intervention.

The first Time's Up advocate training will be on February 10 (Monday) from 9-11:30am at Hoffman Faculty Lounge. Breakfast will be provided!
Hoffman Faculty Lounge is located on the 4th floor of Hoffman (20 Oxford Street)
ACCESSIBILITY: The accessible entrance is to the right of Hoffman near Mallinckrodt under the "link" between Mallinckrodt and Hoffman. There's an elevator that takes you to the 4th floor, you leave the elevator and walk straight towards an area with a bunch of desks and some large windows and turn right at the kitchenette, that's the room. We will post signage to make it easy for folks to access the room.
