Tour de Earth Day Charleston 2022

Start: Saturday, April 23, 202210:30 AM

Host Contact Info: charlestonclimatecoalition@gmail.com

The Charleston Climate Coalition and Sustainable Ocean Alliance Charleston invite you to join us on Tour de Earth Day 2022 on April 23rd, a slow roll bike ride through the urban ecostops of Downtown Charleston.

Partners for stops include the Charleston Parks Conservancy, Enough Pie, Friends of Gadsden Creek, Green Heart Project, Eastside Community Development Corporation, Alliance for Planet Earth, and more. Food and drinks will be provided along the way. Riders can expect educational talks, firsthand looks at urban greenspace, art, and activities as they make their way around the peninsula’s green spaces.

With Tour de Earth Day, we’re looking to bring folks together to celebrate the Earth, learn about our rich environmental community here in the Lowcountry, and turn a critical eye to where environmental justice issues remain.

For those in need of a bike to borrow for the day, reach out to charlestonclimatecoalition@gmail.com and request one ahead of the event.

If you’d like to come out a little earlier (10am) to join the South Carolina Aquarium and Friends of Gadsden Creek for the first part of their litter Gadsden Creek sweep, please sign up HERE.
Riders who bring their own bikes are encouraged to decorate them with Earth Day spirit. At the final stop at Corinne Jones Park, there will be a bike costume contest with eco-friendly prizes.
