The MHHS Robotics Club is excited to announce that we will be hosting a Middle School workshop on Friday, April 28th.

Students grades 1-8 are welcome to attend!
Cost?
If you would like to attend, it will cost $25.
Payment will be online via the MHHS Web Store. Steps are in the registration form.
What Students Will Learn
Students will learn high-school-level robotics concepts, including…
- Assembling and controlling VEX robotic systems with motors, logic controllers, batteries, and more
- Screws, wrenches, nuts, and other tools
- Robot programming
- Vision sensor data collecting and analysis
- Designing and constructing an engineering solution given a problem and constraints
- Key concepts:
- Gearboxes / RPM
- Engineering Design Process
- Data collection and logic control via sensors

Participation in this workshop will prepare students for the VEX Robotics Competition when they enter high school!

Is this the same as the Robotics Workshop held in December 2022?
Yes. The content we will be covering is the same as the workshop MHHS Robotics held on Friday, December 2, 2022. If you came to that workshop, this workshop will cover the same content.
What is MHHS Robotics and the VEX Robotics Competition?
The MHHS Robotics Club is the official robotics program at Mountain House High School. This year, we have 4 teams of high school students competing in the VEX Robotics Competition, a global robotics program at the regional, state, and international levels!
Will they be just building a robot or will they code it as well?
- Students will both be building and programming a robot to autonomously navigate a field using sensors!
Can I get a refund if I cannot attend?
- In order to officially reserve your spot, we are requiring all students to make payment on the MHHS Web Store in advance. To request a refund at least 3 days in advance, email mhhsrobotics@lammersvilleusd.net. There is a $5 refund fee.
