Visual information matters more than ever.. Pie charts and columns have been replaced by beautifully designed graphics that convey a message. This sequence of three classes explores
Microsoft Excel’s charting capabilities, including Pivot charts. Each
class will build on the previous one, but attendees may attend
individual classes. These workshops assume that participants have
created basic charts. Register for an email reminder for classes at Chicago Ave/ Main St. Branch or North Branch.

Learn how to make full use of Excel to manage grants through
their life cycle. The focus will be on the capabilities of Excel, rather

Winter Reading Program at the Branches: through January 25, 2014, North Branch and Chicago Ave./Main Street (CAMS) Branch
Families are invited to participate in our Winter Reading Program.
Activities include "Read a poetry book," "Make a meal together," and
"Visit the Library." Logs can be picked up at either branch and returned
when 12 of the 16 activities are completed. This is a fun way to spend time together as a family when you come in out of
the snow. (New Branch Hours: Monday 10 am-8 pm and
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10 am-6 pm.)

The Campus Kitchen at Northwestern University and the Evanston Public Library are teaming up to bring those in need not only a delicious meal, but a delicious "read" as well. Volunteers will be adding library reading materials to their meal deliveries. Get information about volunteering at The Campus Kitchen at Northwestern University.

for Economic Progress is coming to the Library in January. They are
recruiting for volunteers to work one-on-one with low-income families.
