LETHBRIDGE- Southern Albertans looking to beat the heat will soon be able to enjoy a new water park
The old Henderson pool was built back in 1963, and city officials say a facelift was well overdue. They expect it will be open by July 2015.
The proposed pool will consist of a zero depth entry which will address accessibility concerns for facility users, and upgrades will include new pumps and pipes.
There will also be added amenities to enhance the visitor experience to the facility, including:
– Spray toys
– Slides
– Water slides
The cost of the facility will is just over $7 million, and the Rotary Club donated over a quarter of a million dollars to the spray pad.
