THRILL seekers are being given the chance to get a bird's eye view of Scotland's busiest railway station.
Central Station bosses are considering allowing the public to walk on the famous glass roof, which is one of the world's largest.
For the first time, the station is taking part in this year's Doors Open Day, in September, where the public gets free access to hundreds of unique and historic buildings.
During September, visitors can walk around the catacombs of the station, which are rumoured to be haunted. And Network Rail, which manages the station, is considering allowing people to walk on the mammoth roof, which contains 48,000 panes of glass.
So far more than 191 people have voiced their approval for the plan on the station's own Facebook page.
One posted: "They should make it an all year round thing. People would be willing to pay for the privilege. Money could be donated to good causes."
A spokesman for Network Rail said the plan was under consideration and added: "We are looking into the logistics of it."
