How Jared Padalecki's 'Always Keep Fighting' Helped This Fan Battle Depression

No, we're not crying... YOU'RE crying.

"Supernatural" is more than a fandom; it's a community. And through that encouraging community, fans like Sandra Echeverri have been able to get the help and support they need to face life's everyday battles.

In celebration of the "Supernatural" season 10 home release, which is available on DVD and Blu-ray today, Sept. 8, 2015, MTV News can exclusively reveal this incredible "Always Keep Fighting" featurette, which tells one fan's inspiring story of overcoming her depression thanks to Jared Padalecki's own battle, and the comfort she received from the "Supernatural" fandom.

Earlier this year, Padalecki launched his "Always Keep Fighting" campaign through Represent.com, to benefit the nonprofit organization To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA), which supports people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. It's a passion project for the actor, who's been extremely candid about his own clinical depression diagnosis this past year.

When MTV News caught up with the actor earlier this summer, he had some important advice for others who might also be feeling stretched too thin.

"Try and remember to shift gears," he said. "That’s one of things I had to learn. It doesn’t mean that you have to live the simple life, but the life lived with just your friends and family is a great life."

"Don’t get caught up trying to think you’re supposed to do more, or to think you’re supposed to please everybody," he added. "Take care of yourself."

And most importantly, remember that the "Supernatural" fandom is here for you no matter what.
