Power Up Your Profile Picture

Here's a great way to get the word out about BC-STV, "Power Up" your profile picture you use on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, FriendFeed etc. We add a banner on the top and bottom.

Lots of people have done it already, join in the fun!

There are two ways to get a powered up profile pic

1) Easy Way - Ask someone to do it for you.

• If you are on FaceBook just add Mark Crowley as a friend just temporarily, request a powered up pic in the message, he'll get it done for you within a day or so and post it to your wall.
  
• Alternatively, you can email the image you want powered up to powerupyourprofile@gmail.com

2) Do-It-Yourself Way - You can do it yourself, its not that hard, if you use the Firefox web browser.
Just find your profile pic somewhere online. This could be on Twitter or Facebook, as long as you can see the image in your browser.
Right click on the image and choose "Copy Image Location". Then paste into the box below. It will probably look best if your image is square.

(Note: this won't work if you are using the Internet Explorer web browser. It also won't work if the url you past has "&" or "?" in it. Please comment on this page if it doesn't work for any other reason)

If you've got this then you need make a screen capture of the image. If you don't know how to do this the easiest way is to install one of these browser plugins:

• ScreenGrab: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1146
  go to a page with your image on it, like your facebook page, and right click and choose "ScreenGrab/Save..." (Mac OS or Windows)

Help make this go viral!

If you can get option 2 working then we need your help tous make "Profile Power Ups" go viral by powering up the pics of your friends on facebook who support BC-STV. There are over 6000 members of the BC-STV facebook group, imagine if all of them offered up their profile pic as a billboard for the next two weeks! Help us make it happen. Be sure to let us know here or in the main facebook group if you do this so we know its catching on.
