As the title states I just bought a Origin copy of Need for speed Undercover and I haven't been able to get it to work at all beyond making a new profile.
Once I select the profile I wish to use the loading screen will come up and one or two seconds later it will hard freeze and requires using the task manager to get out of. I have let the game sit like this for as long as 10 min in hopes that it is simply taking forever to load but to no success.
Other things I have tried to get the game working:
Updated video drivers
Attempted to run the game in compatability mode in several OS as recommended by several online forums (Win98, WinXp Service pack 1,WinXp Service pack 2, and WinXp Service pack 3)
Running the game on only a single CPU core (I have 12 cores)
So far none of the above as worked or have gotten me any further in the loading screen.
I should note that several years ago I had a hard copy of this game but that copy and the computer that it was install/registered on was lost in a house fire some time ago hence the reason why I bought a origin based copy on my new rig.
What can I do to get this game running?
Relevent Computer specs:
Intel i7-3970X installed on a ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition Motherboard
16gb of 1866Mhz Corsair memory
AMD Radeon 7970 Ghz edition with 6gb GDDR5 memory
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
I am not lacking in power so this likely a software issue.
If no solution can be found I would like to start the refund process to return to my Origin wallet the $9.99 I spent on this title.

Today installed the game NFS Undercover when you start replaced with minimum graphics settings to maximum and restart the game, saved manually! I go back into the game and see the same screen resolution, and after loading the game itself again and graphics on minimum settings. But at the same settings all selected to the maximum. And so ever. Well, what can I do? Do not play on the same graph the minimum when you can at the maximum. Yes and the computer will pull 100%

My name is Natalia. I have original Need for Speed Undercover and I installed it today on a new computer. The previous one has broken.
I can't start a game, because I get information that I used available number of computers for this code. They tell me to buy new and reinstall the game.
I don't know what to do. Could you tell me how to fix this problem?

Hello everyone and merry christmas!
I just purchaced Need for Speed Undercover for PC through Steam. Everything works great, I mapped the controls to my logitech rumblepad 2 , I created an online ea account to log in (so that it stops naggin me for it), but during racing the Friends tab keep popping up in the most inappropriate moments and after pressing cancel , i crash my car because there isn't enough time to regain control! I am not interested in the multiplayer part pf the game at all, so is there any way to turn that off...? I can't find anything through options! Thanks in advance!

When I was celebrate my Birthday, My Uncle Give me a Game, Name is "Need For Speed: Under Cover". Now I Want Install it.. When It Open, There are a Tab (Want the Registration Code), I Don't the Code, because not me who bought that game (My Uncle). What I Must Do Now

Back in November the servers for Need for Speed Undercover (Xbox 360) stopped working. This game is not listed on the server closure page so I am assuming that the servers have not been permanently shut off. Will they be turned back on soon?
