 Senior Geo-Technical Engineer
Location: Birmingham, England
Salary: GBP35000 - GBP40000 per annum
International design consultancy located in central Birmingham require a Senior Geo-technical Engineer to take a technical lead in their ground engineering division due to an increase in workload. My client is a leading technical design consultancy that works across a variety of sectors including commercial, defence, education, rail, healthcare both in the UK and Overseas.
The position will require the successful applicant to undertake geotechnical design functions and be specifically conversant with industry software. (Ideally Plaxis, GeoStudio and Oasys). FEA experience would be desirable but not essential.
It is expected that you will have expertise in the design of Ground Improvements, Gravity and Embedded Retaining Walls, Reinforced Earth Structures, foundation design; Piling, Shallow and Deep Foundations, Dam and Slope Stability.
Requirements
- Ability to design to Euro Code 7.
- You would also be expected to coach and mentor more junior engineers
- Chartered or approaching with a relevant engineering body.
