The Feast Bowl is a monthly community kitchen focused on promoting the concept of food as medicine. Each meal utilizes food plants grown in the Indigenous Health Education and Research Garden on ancestral unceded Musqueam territory at the University of British Columbia Farm. The Feast Bowl is held the last Wednesday of every month, and brings together Indigenous students, staff, faculty, family, friends and allies at the First Nations House of Learning Long House on UBC campus.
Volunteering with the Feast Bowl is a great way to learn about traditional foods, cooking, and health, and to contribute to the development of a meaningful and supportive community on campus. If you are interested in cooking and sharing food with us, please answer just a few short questions below!
