This is a simple web site with information and photos of our new house at Munong Aveneu Point Clare.

Point Clare is a small suburb on the Central Coast of NSW you can see it and the location of the new house courtesy of Google Maps here.

This site has photos of old Point Clare (courtesy of Central Coast City Library Collection) as well as more modern photos of the suburb and the property at Munong Avenue. You can see progress on the demolition and new building on the Building link tab above.

old point clare house The original house on the site was over 90 years old and is similar to many of the houses on the Point Clare waterfront  all sadly now gone.

You will see more 3D views  and images on the Building page as the construction progresses shape.

The new building is set two metres above the existing ground level. This will give protection from flooding both currently and in the future due to rising sea levels.

Designer & Builder

The original design  concept and architecture was by Ian Burl Architects Somesby NSW. 

Final construction design and engineering was  carried out by Malcolm Ellis Design of Gordon NSW.

The builder was Greg James of Tuggerah NSW. 

Construction (or demolition) started late October 2009 and finished in September 2011.

This is what the waterfront around this part of Point Clare looks like today or at least did before the little cottage on the very right was demolished.
