Worth it!
If you are skeptical about these books don't be! Clever and fun, sexy and action packed. These books lead you into a new supernatural realm that completely took me by surprise and left me awed and a little jealous. All I can complain about is that now I have a very strong urge to get every last inch of me tattooed. But I would be a bit disappointed since I am no skin dancer :( no magic for me. A definite read!

Tough Chic
Tough bi-chic in Alternate Universe where supernatural abilities super abound. Vampires, weres of all sorts and sizes, and a danger she doesn't even know exist so close she can almost reach out to it...like it is lurking in her peripheral vision. Romance, but no smut to get the heart a thumpin' (insert disproportionately sad face here--cuz oomph the set-up is perfect for it) loving friends abound as willing to sacrifice for her as she is for them. Also replete are snatches of the friends' lives in various states of nudity, kink, BDSM, and lesbianism. Lest we forget danger and violence galore as well as at least 1 scene of "violence against women" so menacing & heinous it left me with a nightmare or two. But a good book makes you shiver in all sorts of unexpected ways. And who'd expect less than trouble Not that you'd expect less than a sign on her back that screams "trouble, follow me...if you dare" from a nearly 6 ft, tattooed heroine who takes no shh... Let's say guff from anyone certainly not even way more powerful freaks than her.
Hints of romance, but alas. There is that nagging rule about no kissing on the fist date and then there is borderline masochistic self denial.
As a self proclaimed independent, self-sufficient bad-a** chic, I wish I could find an author who knew how to write a girl who can stand strong in her own power and still let a man be The Man mark, but hey, it's my kink so maybe Frost will be perfect for you.
All in all it kept me reading to the end. Cool mystery, killer abilities in Frost's friends that beg to be explored...not to mention that killer body.
