I have searched for a long time for a fitness watch that I think is versatile comfortable and affordable without being too loud a colour! This is perfect. Some might find it a tiny bit bulky but I like the size. Very easy to read the screen, it's easy to use the different functions on the watch and the app is great for tracking. It is comfortable in bed also if you want to monitor your sleep. I would like to be able see what part of my workout had the calorie burn. From what I can make out the app tells you the %. I don't think it's a negative of the watch but may be something I need to learn. A brilliant buy.

So after having the Polar FT4 for over a year and always losing the heart rate signal , I was a bit sceptical to buy another Polar Watch however this was recommended to me as being an amazing watch and never losing signal so I took the gamble considering how much more expensive it is.

I'm glad I did as so far I've been using this for a week and not lost any heart rate signal (perhaps due to the amazing new Bluetooth heart rate monitor and chest strap) , it tracks calories , fat burn , fitness zones , sleep patterns , heart rate in a fancy graph when you download the polar flow sync app on your phone or computer , tells you in a small paragraph what your workout helped with whether endurance , fat burning or just good aerobic fitness , also states what percentage of your calories was from fat burning therefore motivating you to do better next time. When synced with the app , it records everything like a diary so at the end of the week it totals the calories burned , fat burning etc so really motivates you for the next week to beat your goals .

It also works out your daily goal when you input your current weight ,age , height , gender etc and it bleeps at you to get moving or when you have reached 100% of your daily goal .

Even though I do not wear this watch in the day , I only use it during my gym workouts , I absolutely love it as you can select what type of exercise you are doing from walking ,cycling , other indoor , other outdoor , swimming ( yes you can use this in swimming!) strength training and it records your calories accurately .

Cons :- Haven't been able to work out how I track my sleep yet but once I do I'm sure it will be an amazing added feature . Also the strap is rubber which I wasn't expecting but still comfortable to wear , just a little flimsy.

I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone who is looking to get motivated to move or gym regulars ,athletes etc , well worth the money!

This is the best activity tracker available in my opinion. It has the most accurate calories burned feature, taking into account your age, height, resting heart rate, weight, and (while logging an exercise) your heart rate. The step count feature seems fairly accurate, and the sleep thing is a nice touch. Other trackers (like the Fitbit Surge and the Fitbit Charge HR) claim to be more accurate calculating calories burned because they measure your heart rate constantly, not just during exercise, but a look at these products' Amazon reviews reveals that they are seriously flawed.
The HR strap is comfortable and easy to use, and works long after you've wet the electrodes, whether you're sweating or not. I've not used it swimming yet so will have to take Polar's word regarding how waterproof the watch is, but I've worn it in the shower several times with absolutely no problems.
The watch is comfortable and fits well, it looks nice enough and isn't too large (this is important to me because I have really small wrists). The interface is easy to use and well designed, and Polar offer software updates available via the program you download to your desktop, so the watch's software functionality won't stagnate. It syncs well to the app (which is very useful and clean looking), and you can set it up with other apps like My Fitness Pal, where it logs your steps and adjusts your calorie count for the day based on your activity (if you're more active than anticipated you earn more calories, not just from actual exercise but from everyday things like standing up or walking around a lot, this also works negatively if you're lazy that day, leaving you fewer calories to eat - if you enable that feature). The fitness test is a nice way of understanding your fitness levels - as far as I understand it is a measure of your resting heart rate, which is a sound and respected measure of fitness. The heart rate feature is accurate too, giving the same readings as my old Polar watch and as gym equipment. The battery life is great, too. I've recommended this watch to my sister and she's excited to get her own. I did extensive research into which activity tracker was most suitable for me and I'd argue that this would be the best option on the market for most people (perhaps the more expensive, GPS-enabled V800 offered by Polar would be a better option for avid runners or cyclers, though).

The only features that would make this watch even better would be constant heart rate measurements via the wrist (thus eliminating the need for the chest strap and improving the caloric accuracy) but judging by the failures of products that do offer this, I don't think the technology is there yet. It would also be nice if it synced continually and automatically like some other products, but that seems like a minor issue to me and syncing is easy and quick enough for me. I also wish the watch was more discreet looking (you could hardly wear it while wearing a nice dress), but that aside, I'm really glad I bought it.

Lovely fitness tracker. I got mine with the HR monitor chest strap, I think its pretty pointless without this.

HR monitor works great, its comfortable, easy to use, syncs up with my fitness pal food tracker as well and is clear ,to see the face.

I know some people don't like its size, but i like it, it looks nice on. I got white but you can get other colour straps from ebay quite cheap.

Had it for about 2 months and no problems.

After some hassles managed to get synch with ps to get started (fixed compatibility and bug issue) . Now all in order but accuracy of activities record and calories is not so accurate/ sometime look unrealistic. I am using HR tracker during training and gives good indication on HR . As i
asked for support directly from Polar, still
Didn't received any response from them yet..and the app BEAT is not working as the polar have no GPS and distance is not displayed
