Shenandoah Valley

Food System Infrastructure Assessment

The Shenandoah Valley has a vibrant food system.  To further strengthen and support its growth, an inventory is required of the area’s current and potentially needed food system infrastructure.

As an agricultural producer who may use (and benefit from) these food system resources, your feedback is greatly needed!  Please help us by completing the following survey; it is expected that this will take no more than 15 minutes.  We would appreciate your responses by May 15, 2014.

As thanks for your participation, at the end of the survey you can enter into a draw for 1 of 5 $100 Visa Gift Cards. Also, a copy of this study's findings will be forwarded to those who are interested.

This study is supported by the Valley Conservation Council and Virginia Cooperative Extension.  Your participation is voluntary.  All information that is collected will be kept strictly confidential.  Neither your, nor your farm’s, name will be collected.  If you have questions about this study or any problems arise, please do not hesitate to contact Eric Bendfeldt (ebendfel@vt.edu ) or Dr. Kathryn Boys (kboys@vt.edu).   If you have any questions about your rights as a research participant, please contact the Virginia Tech Institutional Review Board at moored@vt.edu or (540) 231-4991.
