Design Engineer

Location:  Glasgow, Scotland
Salary:  £Excellent + Benefits


The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing new mechanical equipment for use in the production process.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design equipment and processes to improve product and process performance
  • Generate prototype designs and conduct testing
  • Solve existing equipment solutions and provide innovative solutions and designs
  • Provide advice and training to production and maintenance departments
  • Generate technical drawings using 3D modelling programmes

Ideal candidate:

  • Degree/HND qualified or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Good design and development background
  • Knowledge of machinery design codes and CDM is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
