I’m not hiding who I am. Well, I’m hiding what I am, because you don’t just say - Hey, everybody, I’m Scarlett and I’m a shifter - at the first mixer. All I want is the chance to go to college with normal people and lead a normal life for a change, maybe even meet a normal guy. I’ve just been too chicken to go after it until now.

I’m making friends, I even met a cute guy who seems into me. Everything’s working out like I’d hoped. Except for this other guy, Kane, who thinks he has to protect me, just because we’re both wolves. Every time I turn around he’s there with his dark, piercing stares and his deep, sexy voice that somehow manages to get past my defenses. I left my pack back home for a new start. The last thing I want is to get caught up in any shifter drama, no matter how sexy the package it comes wrapped up in is.

Kane is exactly the kind of man I don’t want. Bossy, infuriating, insisting he knows what’s best without even asking me, and so freaking hot, his ego’s the size of Texas. I especially hate it when he’s right. It turns out there are scarier things out there than midterms, and they’re after me.

* * *

The last thing Kane’s looking for is a mate - but that's exactly what his Alpha has ordered him to bring home. A very specific mate. Adding Scarlett LaRoche to the pack will cement his ties to her pack and the prophecy, which puts him one step closer to the ultimate power. But can he seduce a girl that doesn’t want to be seduced?

Challenge accepted.

*** Scarlett Moon is a shifter paranormal romance with steamy sex and violence, and should not be read by those under 18. It can be read as a stand alone book, or as part of The Wolves of Cutter’s Folly, and has a HEA. ***

I liked book 2 , but not as much as book 1. I just found it missing something. The person reading the book did a really good job, reading the story.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review

This is the second book in the series. While you can read them standalone, I think by reading them in order the characters are much richer as is the world created by Lisa. This is for adults only due to the steamy scenes and violence. There are also references to rape though there is nothing in detail.

This is Scarlett’s story. Scarlett is a much more forgiving person than I am. I don’t know that I could deal with a pushy brother or the other things that happened. She is also brave and never gives up. I can’t say that I was in Kane’s corner in the beginning, but you definitely need to read everything to get the whole story :)

Lisa’s stories are always packed with action and plot to keep you guessing and keep you drawn into the story. I can’t wait to read more of this series and wonder whose story is next :)

I highly recommend this series to wolf shifter readers!

Scarlett has always been content being the girl that everyone either bossed around or over looked. Now that her grandmother is gone, there isn't really much holding her back from her dreams so she leaves Cutter's Folly and heads to college. She's making friends and coming out of her shell, everything is going good until Kane shows up. He is bossy, stubborn, and everything she doesn't want in a man. Too bad he's sexy as sin!

Kane is on a mission and the mission is Scarlett. He's been told to swoon the shy, passive, country bumpkin and bring her back to his pack. Only, she's not at all those things he was told. When it comes to Kane she is a spitfire! She doesn't take his orders or his crap and he kinda likes it. He's in for a wild ride!!

I love how Lisa makes me, against my will sometimes, fall in love with her characters. Her writing style is one I have come to love and can't get enough of. Scarlett Moon is no different than her other books, to me, when it comes to how great it was! Great writing, steamy, sexual tension you can cut with a knife and even a cameo from another one of her books. I love how she throws little golden eggs into her books like that! Just like her previous books, you'll be coming back for more after reading Scarlett Moon.

I can't get enough! The first book in the series made me wanting more and Lisa delivered. This story has all that I love in a book a great story, great characters (that look amazing in my head), and a paranormal twist that leaves you wanting more. If you have read The Forged Bloodlines books some characters will look familiar.
Scarlett decides that she wants to go to college and finish her degree, with the intentions of getting out there and meeting new people. And meet new people she does! Scarlett finds herself in some very dangerous situations and some very steamy situations (both will leave you white knuckling your book). I loved seeing a character that is always being underestimated come into her own and stand up for her self and what she believed in. This book has everything from lust, love, sex, wolves, violence, and twists that you don't see coming, I love reading books that keep you guessing from an author that doesn't underestimate the intelligence of her audience. The heart knows what it wants even when the head is telling you otherwise…. Scarlett Moon is the second installment in The Wolves of Cutters Folly, and it is a great read! This is a story of love, betrayal, and greed and two young shifters who fall in love, but sometimes love just isn’t enough after one has been hurt so badly. This book has hot and steamy love scenes, intense drama and some violence, and of course a little paranormal thrown in the mix to give it that perfect “I will grab you and not let you go until the last page” feel.
Lisa continues to crank out wonderful stories that we can all relate to in one way or another. She has the ability to create worlds and characters that stick with you, and make you feel like they are an extension of family. If you are looking for a good read, any Lisa Olsen book will more than suffice, if you are looking for a great shifter read, grab this Scarlett Moon!

This is the 2nd in the series, but is read easily as a stand alone.
Scarlett has at last made the decision to step away from Cutter's Folly and start a life of her own. She is going to university in Santa Cruz. She will be older than most of her class mates , because she always used online classes before. The big city is a scary place. But she is a wolf who will conquer her fears.
Kane is beta of the San Francisco pack. His Alpha orders him to bring Scarlett into the pack any way it can be done.
This is an exciting, and sexy story. There are many more dangers in the city than Scarlett thought. There are also two really sexy guys. One she thinks she wants, and one that annoys her just by being there.
This is obviously going to be a good series. I haven't read the 1st one but I will. This author knows how to keep me entertained. Lots of substance to the story, not just sex. Loved it.

Scarlett Moon is the second book in the Wolves of Cutter’s Folly. This book is about Scarlett and her quest for independence and a life out of the shadow of her grandmother. Scarlett is trying to go away to go to college but it seems everyone else wants to use her to get closer to the Cutter’s Folly pack and Amelia, whose child is supposed to unite the packs. Will Scarlett get to fall in love? Or will she have to go to someone for politics of the packs?

This book is great, right when you think everything is settled then another curve comes along. This book will be great for anyone who likes paranormal romances, and stories with shifters in them. Warning!! Explicit sexual situations so this is for mature readers only.

I was fortunate enough to read an ARC of Scarlett Moon, by one of my favorite authors!! This is the second in a series, but in my humble opinion, this book has been so strongly written that it could be read as a standalone...that said, you don't want to miss Moonsong!!

If you like, love, romance, hot sex, and the paranormal, you've come to the right place. This is definitely a book drunk kind of read, as you will become so engrossed, the real world will disappear and you'll feel you are a part of the Cutter family. Scarlett Moon

Scarlett and Kane's story is a great read! Scarlett is starting college on campus instead of finishing online in order to break out of her she'll and to get away from home! But she's a shifter in a human world and her family are of royalty, kind of!
Kane is the beta of his pack and is sent to get Scarlett to join his pack! It takes Kane to figure out different ways to get to Scarlett because his normal lines aren't working!
A great story with a great twist!

Scarlett LaRoche just wants to be normal college kid. Problem is, Scarlett isn't quite what she seems. Scarlett is a wolf shifter which is something you can't share with your human roommates. As Scarlett settles in to college life, things start to look up. She's made a few friends and even gone out on a date. She encounters another shifter, Kane, who declares it is his responsibility to protect her. After all, she is an unclaimed female wolf shifter from one of the most powerful packs. As Scarlett tries to get on with life, Kane keeps appearing and Scarlett can't help but fall for his charm and wit....except when he wants to boss Scarlett around. The more she digs her claws in the ground and defies Kane, the more he wants her. Getting Scarlett to joint Kane's pack is his only assignment. If she is just an assignment to him, why does the word 'mate' come to mind when he thinks about her? After an attack on Scarlett and her roommates, she realizes Kane hasn't been quite honest in his pursuit of her. How will she mend her broken heart? After all Kane was just a no-strings attached, college fling, wasn't he?

I love Lisa Olsen's writing. The story is a typical "girl wants to experience the big, bad world" but the heroine isn't your typical girl. She is a wolf shifter from a powerful pack which makes her very valuable to other packs. When we first meet Scarlett, she is scared of her own shadow and I was afraid she would stay weak and timid throughout the story. Was I ever wrong. As Scarlet makes friends she begins to come out of her shell and enjoy life. But when she meets Kane, under a scary situation, her hackles are raised at his brute attempt to protect. In Scarlett's eyes, Kane wants to rule over her and that is not happening. The more Kane tries to boss Scarlett around the more she rebels and we begin to see the strong woman behind the timid shyness. She keeps Kane on his toes when she just doesn't obey his every command. He is not her alpha and she will not submit. As the story progresses, Scarlett finds herself in an even scarier situation in which truths about Kane are revealed. Kane isn't quite the hero we thought he was. Can Kane prove to Scarlett he is her mate or will Scarlett be lost to Kane's deceit?

Here I am again, having to take back when I said "I don't read PNR (paranormal)". How does Lisa Olsen do it? Once I started reading, I couldn't put Scarlett Moon down. I found myself getting so wrapped up in Scarlett and Kane's story that before I knew it, I was at the end.

If you read Moonsong (which I highly suggest that you do), then you already know that Scarlett is the girl who always just disappeared into the background. She leaves Cutter's Folly to start college and to come into her own. She never expects to meet anyone, but somehow Kane shows up and just won't back down. He is pushy and arrogant and... exactly what Scarlett doesn't want. Yet, she can't deny the attraction and how her body comes alive when he's near. The problem? He holds a very big secret. What happens when Scarlett learns about everything that Kane is hiding?

Lisa puts words together and creates a world that makes my real life seem to disappear. Somehow she makes me love characters that at first I didn't really like. I got so caught up in this novel that I might have forgotten to make dinner (it's ok, the pizza place delivers). I was at the edge of my seat, gripping my Kindle for dear life while I tried not to blink... I didn't want to miss even one word. AND, this is a Paranormal book. I have publicly said that I don't enjoy PNR books. Sure, I loved Moonsong, but that could have been a fluke, right? Nope. And today I eat those words and admit I was completely wrong in ignoring an entire genre.

Thank you Lisa Olsen for opening my eyes to a genre I kept skipping over. Your writing did that. Now, please hurry and get Chase's book to me.

What Would Millie Do? [WWMD] Amelia, or 'Millie' from Book 1 stays connected with her cousin Scarlett by giving her a bracelet to encourage her while she attends college. Not so sure of herself, Scarlett LaRoche finds she doesn't need too much encouragement after a short time at college and morphs into a kick-ass shifter coming into her own in Book 2, SCARLETT MOON from The Wolves of Cutter's Folly series. I love how Lisa Olsen keeps building Scarlett and Millie's relationship using intimate telephone conversations as a vehicle to continue building the bonds between the women in Book 2. This book has it all, strong heroines, hot romance, scary villians, tragedy, developing heroes, everything coming of age is all about, i.e., not teens coming of age, but adult life decisions we make in our early twenties. We get to visit with characters from Book 1 and add several new ones in Book 2. I really did not like the love interest in Book 2 at first, his character developed and I really think he has the making s of a strong hero. I really thought Chase was going to revert to his 'shifty ways' and the Montara Alpha was gross, but in the end all worked out as it should. I say it was a good read but, I am ready for some hot STRONG male characters in Book 3, CHASE THE MOON, because wolf shifters should be no other way! I just want to know one thing, Lisa Olsen, is it ready yet? -G

Wow!! Lisa does it again. She packs a pretty good punch!! Right from the start of this book, I was grabbed & not let go. I stayed up reading this last night & only had a few hours of sleep. I finished it at work on my lunch. I could not let it go! I had to know what was going to happen next. The main characters Scarlett & Kane are seeking somewhere to belong, they just don't know it yet. This tale of love & adventure was so enjoyable. Lisa is so talented with the way she writes. It is new & fresh every time. One thing that is a guarantee. You get lots of adventure & some steamy sexy scenes.
Guys this book has some really great fight scenes. I highly recommend this. It could be a stand alone, but if you read Moonsong 1st, you will understand a few things a bit better. Go on get your copy now! From a true Fan... Pam James

Lisa Olsen Knows How To Create A Story

I've read a lot of Ms. Olsens novels and have yet to be disappointed with any of them. She knows how to create a storyline that captures your attention and makes you want to keep reading, hoping it will keep on going, even when it's not all action and adventures pack. Scarlett Moon was a nice installment to the Wolves of Cutters Folly Series. Scarlett gets to go out into the world and find herself as well as love with some slight complications and misunderstanding. Amelia and Cutter didn't play a big part in this series but then again it was Scarletts time to shine. It was nice to see Amelia and Chance continue their presence though.

Loved this as much as the first book!

For a few chapters, well let's be honest more then a few I was biting my nails with all the anticipation. Where would the story go? What the heck was he thinking? Would she? Or would she walk away, and maybe even a few WTH's! I swear this book had me I had a hard time putting it down!

Just another stellar read from Lisa. Loved Scarlett's story and the tie to my girl Anja with Kane....
I've never been to San Francisco but the way Lisa writes the detail about the city I felt like I was right there with the characters. Funny yet heartwarming parts and kick ass parts is a must read.
Highly recommend anything written by Lisa you will not be disappointed.
