Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, Ariz.) snapped the four-game winning streak of Marcos de Niza (Tempe, Ariz.), with a 40-7 victory on Saturday.

Andrew Cota touchdown run in the first quarter, the Lancers were up 33-0 at the half.
Salpointe Catholic grew its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. SC's lone score in the quarter came on a
Jay Williams touchdown run.
The Tucson school scored 21 points in the second quarter on the way to a win. The Lancers scored on a touchdown pass by Cota to
Kaelin Deboskie, a defensive touchdown and an Cota touchdown pass to
Cameron Denson in the quarter.
Marcos de Niza's only touchdown came on a 44-yard pass from Jackson Loney to Kylee Lawrence in the fourth quarter.
The defeat comes as a step back for Marcos de Niza, who notched a 23-15 victory over Cesar Chavez in its previous outing.
