There’s no mountain on Earth with quite the aura of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Its unbeatable vibe of romance and adventure—as well as the considerable challenges it presents climbers—make it worthy of a place of prominence on any man’s bucket list. So as part of this new adventure project, we decided to take two readers, 35-year-old Justin Gray and 33-year-old Colt Smith, straight to the summit. We faced steep, craggy terrain, practically every climate on earth, from jungle to arctic, and elevations so inhospitable that more trekkers fail to reach the summit each year than succeed.

In fact, many climbers attempting to summit Kili—about 25 per year—die trying. So we took the challenge seriously, and roped in help from the best: Red Bull's team of elite athlete trainers to help condition us for the experience, and renowned mountaineer Peter Whittaker to actually lead us up the hill. Check out our video above, and the articles below, to find out how you can take on Kilimanjaro, too.
