Wir treffen uns zum vierten Mal auf der Alp oberhalb von Elm zu einem Old-Time Music Weekend.

Freitag, 20. September,  12:00 Uhr bis Sonntag, 22. September 16:00 Uhr.

Kosten:  Freitag - Sonntag CHF 200.-  (Samstag - Sonntag CHF 120.-) inkl. Vollpension (exkl. Getränke)

Unterkunft: Skihaus Schabell (Gruppenzimmer, Schlafsack, WC/Dusche auf dem Gang)
Anreise: Individuell bis Talstation Sportbahnen Elm

Wie in den letzten Jahren, werden wir auch dieses Jahr wieder eine Old-Time-Lehrerin zu Gast haben, die uns neue Old-Time-Tunes und Spieltechniken zeigen wird. Ihr Name ist Jane Rothfield. Dein indiviudeller Sponsoringbeitrag hilft mit, dass wir die Traditon des Gastlehrers auch in Zukunft aufrecht erhalten können.

Auch dieses Jahr wird es wieder ein zweites Haus geben, für alle die früher ins Bett möchten. Lichterlöschen und Musik-Stop dort ist um 23 Uhr. Weil wir so mehr Schlafplätze zur Verfügung haben, kannst du auch deine ganze Familie mitbringen. Wenn sich genügend junge Musiker/innen anmelden, könnten sie eine Jugend-Scratch-Band bilden und zusammen mit Gleichalterigen spielen und lernen. Weil wir keinen Kinderhütedienst anbieten können, eignet sich das Weekend nicht für kleine Kinder.

Join us for the fourth annual Old-Time Weekend in the Alps, near Elm!  

Friday, 20 September, 12:00 – Sunday, 22 September, 16:00

Cost:  CHF 200 for Friday to Sunday (Saturday and Sunday only, CHF 120).  Price includes full room and board, excluding your drink consumption.

Accommodation:  Skihaus Schabell (Dormitory-style, with bunk rooms for men and women. Bring your own sleeping bag. Men’s and women’s bathrooms, with shower, on each floor).

Arrival: on your own, at Valley station “Elm, Sportbahnen”.  The bus stop “Elm, Sportbahnen” can be reached from Zurich Airport and Zurich main train station in less than 2.5 hours (by train and bus)

Special guest musicians: As in years past, we have invited a professional old-time music tutor to Elm to teach new tunes and techniques.  Her name is Jane Rothfield and you can read more about her musical background here: http://www.janerothfield.com Your individual contributions are welcome towards this effort.

Back by popular demand: the second sleeping house, for those who wish to go to bed earlier!  We have reserved a bunk house down the hill from Skihaus Schabell and it will have lights out at 11pm.  

Thanks to this expanded space, why not bring the whole family? If we have enough young musicians, we’d love to form a kids/teen scratch band so that they can enjoy learning and playing together.  As we do not have child care on site, the weekend is not recommended for small children.
